Zillow Group Signs White House Equal Pay Pledge

Commits to helping reduce the gender pay gap

Dec 7, 2016

SEATTLE, December 7, 2016 –  Zillow Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: Z and ZG), which houses a portfolio of the largest and most vibrant real estate and home-related brands on mobile and web, today announced it has committed to the White House Equal Pay Pledge, which encourages U.S. companies to take action to advance equal pay among men and women.

“Zillow Group is honored to sign the White House Equal Pay Pledge and join other companies who are committed to this effort,” said Zillow Group COO Amy Bohutinsky. “We believe in creating equal career opportunities for all men and women, and we believe in equal and fair compensation for all our employees. As a company, we invest significant resources to ensure that women and men are paid equally across similar and same positions, and we’re transparent with our employees in sharing this analysis and data.”

“Inequality in the workforce doesn’t just adversely affect women; it affects our families and our broader economy. As President Obama says, ‘When women succeed, America succeeds.’ That’s why today’s announcement is a great step in the right direction and the Obama Administration applauds companies making this commitment to advance equal pay,” said White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett. “However, the work doesn’t stop there. We must continue to ask what more we can all do to ensure that the 21st century workplace reflects the priorities and values of the 21st century worker.”

Zillow Group takes great pride in providing its nearly 3,000 employees with benefits that are an authentic representation of the company’s culture. These benefits reflect what’s most important to employees and their families and Zillow Group’s ongoing commitment to encouraging work-life balance and supporting working parents. Benefits include 16-week paid maternity leave, $1,000 “Baby Bucks” to all new parents, designated nursing rooms with fully equipped hospital grade pumps and fridges in all our offices, free overnight breast milk shipping for nursing mothers on business trips, free back-up child care and on-the-job educational opportunities to advance employees’ skill sets and career opportunities.

By signing the pledge, Zillow Group commits to conducting an annual company-wide gender pay analysis, reviewing hiring and promotion processes and procedures to reduce unconscious bias and structural barriers, and embedding equal pay efforts into broader equity initiatives.
