Zillow Data
Zillow’s statistics on the housing market are derived from household-level data. The cornerstone of Zillow’s data is the Zillow Home Value Index – the median value of ALL homes in a given geography. We measure values from the national level down to individual ZIP codes. Zillow is also a resource for many other types of data on the housing market, from negative equity to foreclosures.
Data Resources:
- Real Estate Market Reports
- Homeowner Confidence Survey
- Buyer Negotiating Power
- Buyer Sentiment Survey

Zillow’s PR and data analytics teams can help reporters pull custom data, whether you’re looking for the top 10 best-performing beach towns or working on a story about the correlation between negative equity and foreclosures.
Zillow executives are also available to talk to media about tips for home buyers and sellers, to talk about the housing market in the context of the economy at large and give perspective on Zillow’s latest data.
