Zillow.comâ„¢ Appoints Greg Schwartz as Vice President of Sales

Former CNNMoney.com Executive to Run National Advertising Sales Organization

Mar 20, 2007

SEATTLE, March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading real estate Web site Zillow.com today announced the appointment of Greg Schwartz as Vice President of Sales. Schwartz, who previously led ad sales at CNNMoney.com, will be responsible for heading Zillow's expanding national advertising sales team, which has regional operations in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle.

Prior to joining Zillow, Schwartz was Vice President of Advertising Sales at CNNMoney.com, where he led advertising sales for one of the largest business and finance destinations on the Web. Prior to CNNMoney.com, Schwartz was the National Accounts Director, Automotive & Finance for Yahoo! Inc., and also held various positions at DoubleClick, Inc., and CMP Media Inc

One of the most-visited U.S. real estate sites on the Web, Zillow attracted more than four million unique visitors in February 2007, just one year after the site's launch. Nearly 90 percent of Zillow users own a home, and half (54 percent) plan to buy or sell in next two years. Zillow has a media business model, deriving revenues from online advertising to its targeted base of affluent American homeowners. Zillow currently offers standard ad placement and rich media support, and will soon be adding self- service Zillow EZAds™ designed for agents and other real estate professionals.

In its first year of business, Zillow was the only online company named to Advertising Age's 2006 "Marketing 50" list of the most powerful consumer brands. In his new position, Schwartz is tasked with driving Zillow's advertising strategy to create opportunities for advertisers to reach Zillow's highly targeted base.

"We are thrilled to add someone with Greg's depth of knowledge and experience," said Lloyd Frink, Zillow's co-founder and president. "His track record of success in the online advertising industry will help take Zillow to the next level as the primary media destination for real estate."

Added Schwartz, "Zillow has clearly captured the attention of a very large and mostly affluent audience of American homeowners -- a group that's financially and emotionally invested in their homes. I'm very excited to dig in and create new opportunities for advertisers to connect with this audience."

Schwartz will be based in New York City, and will report to Zillow's Frink. His appointment is effective immediately.
